Planned Giving

Thank you for your interest in a planned gift to Belmont University. At Belmont we encourage two simple types of planned gifts: bequests and beneficiary designations. These plans can be made by adding short and simple language to your Will or just taking a few minutes to update the beneficiary information on a retirement plan or life insurance policy. If you choose to make a provision for Belmont in your estate plans and you share that information with us, you will join a select group of donors as a member of our Covenant Society.

We also offer, through our partnership with Thompson & Associates, personalized one-on-one estate planning advice, at no cost to Belmont alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. This service is confidential and no information is shared with Belmont by Thompson & Associates. All we ask is that you take a short survey after your consultation with them. This survey will include asking you to document any estate provision you have made for Belmont, although that is always optional. If you would like to schedule your consultation with Thompson & Associates or if you have any questions regarding planned giving, please contact Stephen Snead, Sr. Director of Development and Alumni Relations, at 615-460-5466 or stephen.snead@belmont.edu.

ALREADY MADE A PROVISION?

If you have already made a provision for Belmont in your estate plans and would like to join the Covenant Society, all you have to do is contact us and we will finalize your gift with a short and easy commitment form. Thank you for your interest in Belmont University.
